Many folks visiting a new church for the first
time wonder if they will fit in. Hopefully the following
questions and answers will make your visit a bit more comfortable.
What happens in your services?
Our services usually begin with a time of prayer, followed by
teaching from Pastor John. Following the teaching, we have a
time of singing, giving, and updates on the missionaries we support.
Am I expected to give money if I attend?
Although we do have a time of focused worship through
the giving of our material possessions, there is no expectation that
a guest would participate in this time. As a matter of fact,
if you regularly participate in worship with another church Body, we
would prefer that you use the possessions God has entrusted to you
in support of the efforts of that local Body.
Will I be expected to publicly participate or respond in your
services? While the Holy Spirit uses the teaching
of His word to change and direct our lives, you will never be asked
to publicly respond by Pastor John. Also, your level of
participation as we worship together is entirely up to you.
Is there a dress code?
We have no dress code and we never want people to feel unwelcome
because of their clothes. You will find some who wear sport
coats and ties, some who wear jeans and t-shirts, and others in
between the two.
Are your services contemporary or traditional?
The answer to that depends upon the person doing the evaluating.
Pastor John refers to us as "progressively traditional." Our
music is a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary songs.
Overall, the most important part of our time together is the
teaching of God's Word and our personal examination in light of the
truths taught. If you desire to learn from the Bible and grow
in your walk with Christ, we think you will identify with what is
happening here.
Are my children welcome in your services?
During our Sunday School hour we offer a staffed nursery for children up to 1 year old, a
Toddler Class for pre-schoolers, along with other age appropriate
classes for school age children. During the Sunday Morning gathering,
the nursery option is available as well as a Children's Church
ministry for those up to the age of 8. Many of our parents desire that their children sit
with them and Pastor John welcomes them to do so. Some parents
worry if their children cry it will distract, but in most cases it
is not a problem. If it is a particularly "bad day" for your
little one, the previous options exist or there are always chairs in the lobby where you can be
with your child and still participate.

meeting you soon!
