. . . the life was made manifest, and we
. . . proclaim to you the eternal life, which
was with the Father and was made manifest to us—that which we have seen
and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship
with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son
Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:2-3 (ESV)

After serving for 16 years as members of the faculty and staff
of Northland Baptist Bible College, God brought to our lives a strong
burden for Pastoral ministry. In July of 2002, our family moved to the Tama/Toledo area and became a part of the Fellowship Baptist Church
family. We are thrilled that God has led us here and consider
ourselves specially blessed to be a part of this unique Body of
believers.

Darryl was born in Milwaukee and grew up in rural northern
Wisconsin. In 2002, he graduated
from Northland Baptist Bible College with a Bachelors degree in Bible.
After helping in a church plant in Nebraska for 3 years, he moved to
Tama, IA in 2005 to join the ministry of Fellowship.
He is now serving as Assistant Pastor and leading the teen youth group.
Darryl has a passion for teaching the Bible, and he enjoys singing and
emphasizing foreign missions.
Besides working in the ministry here, he works full-time as a commercial
carpenter.
Mariela is from Paysandu, Uruguay, South America, and she
came to the States in 1998 to attend Northland Baptist Bible College.
She graduated in 2002 with a Bachelors degree in Secondary
Education-English. She taught
Spanish and English in a high school in Santa Maria, CA from 2002-2006.
She moved to Tama when she married Darryl in 2006.
She earned a certificate in Interpretation/Translation from Des Moines
Area Community College, and she uses her bilingual skills in the community every
chance she gets. She assists Darryl
in all areas of ministry, plays the guitar, and sings.
Darryl and Mariela were blessed with their first child,
Juliana, in November, 2008.
